Levi's... Still Want Them?

Levis have been around forever. People have just know got on them in the past 2 years. But every since DTLR started selling the 501 Levi's its like everywhere you go you see a pair. Now I know what your thinking they are universal and anybody anywhere can where them, but I don't think so.

I don't know about you but I don't like looking everybody else in Chicago, and you buying or wearing Levis is one way you will look like everybody. So I bet another question your asking is what else is there to wear? Well pick a line. There are millions of denim lines to pick from. One line is BBC(Ice Cream). These jeans are most def dope and almost anyone can look OFISHUS in them. But the one problem with these jeans it that they are going to run you about $300 at the cheapest. So what do you do. Well I hope you don't go out and go to the flea market and cop a pair. So I'll give you some more options, because that's my job.

Two words. Nudie Jeans. Doesn't matter if you like skinny or regular fit or in between, Nudie Jeans has it. They are designed in Sweden but the material comes from Italy. Although they come from Sweden you can either order a pair off ofhttp://www.nudiejeans.com/start or you could go on down to Leaders and cop you a pair. Aw yea these jeans are going to run you about $130 at lowest.

One last option I'm going to give you is H&M. If all the jeans I've given are not your style or just to much, then run down to H&M and grab a pair of jeans for about $50. These jeans come in many different patterns and cuts. They come in skinny. slim, straight, baggy(around the legs), and they have some with flaps on the back. Check them out. Dunks or Vans?

Now there are a lot of people that wear both Vans and Dunks. But which one is better?

Well in order to answer this question we have to look at how people like them.

Dunks are seen more and accepted. I say this because more shops and more people buy or like them. For example the stores that I've been to or heard about all carry some forms of Dunks. These shoes are worn not only by the average "fly kid" but by stars. One person I bet you didn't know that wears Dunks is Larry King. Yea the dude on CNN. He has on a pair of Nike Dunks on under that little desk he is always seen behind. Although this might not be enough to make you go out and cop a pair of Dunks, but when have you ever heard of a 70 plus year old guy wearing something that you might have on your feet while your reading this?!? Never right? That's my point! But anyway Dunks well Nike in that case are the most worn shoes in the world little kids in Africa are running around with Nike's on (even if they are somebodies old pair they are still Nike's).

But this blog isn't just about Dunks its also about Vans, so lets get some info on Vans right? Well ok if that's what you want.

Unfortunately Vans aren't worn by any old men under desks low key. But they do have its own song. You know the song. By The Pack. "Got my Vans on but they look like sneakers". Yea that song. It was hot and it allowed an unknown shoe to many people outside the skateboard community to be known. But other then the song Vans really haven't been talked about (well not as much as Dunks). But for some strange reason you can still walk down the street and see a few pairs of Vans.

So the question still is buzzing and unanswered. So I'm going to let you answer it because I cant do everything. So let me know which one you think is better: Vans or Dunks.

Leaders. Bust or Dope?

Now there are some people that say that the store Leaders that specializes in clothes that are totally unlike clothes that you would find in a mall. For example they have brands like Rock Smith, Fashion Geek, BBC(Ice Cream),Crooks and Castles, and they also have their own line of Leaders tees. Now when the store fist opened a select few knew about the store, but once the years rolled on the store got great response the owner opened a second location in Wicker Park. The store has been in Bronzeville for about 6 years and more and more people are hearing about Leaders. I myself shop at Leaders and have been for about 2 years now and I believe that the store is dope and will continue to be dope for years to come. But me alone wont keep Leaders customers happy. I say this because some long time shoppers or shoppers for a few years are starting to say that Leaders isn't what it is from when it started. I believe the reason why people are saying this is because like I said more and more people are shopping at leaders causing long term shoppers to get kind of upset, because one of the reasons why most people go to Leaders to shop is because they want to be different and not look like every other person in Chicago with the Coogi or Akademiks fit.

So with all this said I would like to know if you shop at Leaders and have been for a while or if your a new shopper, or whatever your story is let me know how you feel about the shopping at the store Leaders and also how do you think or will be in the next few years to come as more and more people get "put on" Leaders.
